Retreat Liability Waiver & Participant Agreement

By registering for and participating in a Terranova Yoga retreat, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below. Please read carefully. You will be asked to sign or check a box confirming your acceptance of these terms before completing your registration.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in a yoga retreat involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Physical activity (yoga, movement, excursions, hikes, workshops)

  • Travel to and from retreat locations

  • Use of facilities and equipment

  • Environmental factors (weather, insects, wildlife, terrain)

  • Transportation provided or arranged by retreat organizers or third parties

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that I may incur as a result of my participation.

2. Health & Medical Disclaimer

I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in this retreat. I understand that:

  • Terranova Yoga is not a medical provider and does not diagnose or treat health conditions.

  • It is my responsibility to consult with my physician before participating.

  • I must inform retreat staff of any allergies, medical conditions, or limitations.

  • I am responsible for bringing and administering my own medications.

I agree that I am solely responsible for my health and well-being throughout the retreat.

3. Release of Liability

I release, waive, and discharge Terranova Yoga, its owners, teachers, employees, contractors, assistants, and all affiliated parties from any and all claims, liability, demands, or actions arising out of:

  • Personal injury

  • Illness

  • Theft or loss of personal property

  • Travel disruptions

  • Accidents during excursions or activities

  • Any incident occurring before, during, or after the retreat

This release applies whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Travel Responsibility

I understand that:

  • I am responsible for booking my own flights and transportation unless noted otherwise.

  • Terranova Yoga is not responsible for travel delays, cancellations, missed flights, or additional travel costs.

  • I am strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage, medical insurance, evacuation insurance, and trip interruption insurance.

5. Personal Conduct

I agree to:

  • Respect the retreat center, staff, and fellow participants

  • Follow all safety guidelines provided by retreat leaders

  • Communicate any concerns promptly and respectfully

Terranova Yoga reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

6. Photography & Media Release

I grant Terranova Yoga permission to use photographs or videos taken during the retreat for promotional or educational purposes.
If I do not wish to appear in media, I will notify Terranova Yoga in writing before the retreat begins.

7. Property Damage

I agree to be responsible for any damages I cause to the retreat venue or its property, whether intentional or accidental.

8. Alcohol, Substances & Safety

I understand that:

  • Responsible alcohol consumption may be permitted in certain settings.

  • Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

  • Engaging in activities while under the influence may be unsafe.

Terranova Yoga is not liable for injuries or incidents occurring under the influence of alcohol or substances.

9. Cancellation Policy Acknowledgment

I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the Terranova Yoga Cancellation Policy, including the terms specific to international retreats.
I understand that:

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • All payments made within 90 days of the retreat start date are non-refundable.

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

10. Agreement

By signing below (or checking the acknowledgment box in the registration form), I confirm that:

  • I have read and understand this waiver in full.

  • I voluntarily agree to its terms.

  • I release Terranova Yoga from all liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  • This agreement applies to the retreat I am registering for and all related activities.
