Terranova Yoga — Cancellation Policy

We appreciate your understanding in honoring our cancellation policy. Terranova retreats are intentionally kept small and thoughtfully curated. Each reservation impacts our planning, venue commitments, and overall group experience. Please review the policies below carefully. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance for all retreats. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to: terranovaofferings@gmail.com

Domestic Retreats (United States)

Cancellations Made More Than 90 Days Before the Retreat Start Date

Payments may be:

• Transferred to another person of your choosing (friend or family member), or

• Applied toward another Terranova Yoga retreat currently open for registration.

Transfer requests must be arranged within 7 days of your cancellation email.

Cancellations Made 90 Days or Less Before the Retreat Start Date

• Payments are non-refundable.

• Payments may be transferred to another participant of your choosing.

• If no replacement participant is secured, no refund or credit can be issued.

Please contact your travel insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

Transfer Responsibility

If you choose to transfer your retreat reservation to another person, you are solely responsible for:

• Securing the replacement participant

• Coordinating all communication

• Ensuring the new participant completes required registration and waiver forms

Terranova Yoga does not locate or match replacement participants.

Important Notes

• Deposits are always non-refundable.

• Terranova Yoga cannot provide refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Illness or injury

  • COVID or other communicable illness

  • Travel delays or flight cancellations

  • Weather disruptions

  • Personal emergencies

• Comprehensive travel insurance with Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage is strongly recommended.

If Terranova Yoga Cancels the Retreat

Low Enrollment: If the retreat must be canceled due to insufficient registrations:

• Participants may transfer payments to a future retreat, or

• Receive a full refund of payments made to Terranova Yoga.

Terranova Yoga is not responsible for airfare, hotels, or other travel-related expenses.

Force Majeure: In cases of weather events, natural disasters, government restrictions, political unrest, public health emergencies, or other events outside of our control:

• Refunds will depend on what is recoverable from our venue partners.

• Terranova Yoga cannot compensate for personal travel expenses.

Travel insurance is highly recommended.

Right to Refuse Participation: Terranova Yoga reserves the right to refuse or cancel any participant’s registration at its discretion. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of booking. Coverage may include:

• Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR)

• Trip cancellation or interruption

• Travel delays

• Baggage loss

• Medical coverage

• Emergency evacuation coverage

Retreat Liability Waiver & Participant Agreement

By registering for and participating in the Moab Magic Retreat, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below. Please read carefully.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in this retreat involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Yoga and physical movement practices

• Guided hikes and outdoor excursions

• Travel to and from retreat locations

• Use of retreat facilities and equipment

• Transportation provided or arranged by Terranova Yoga or third parties

• Environmental factors including extreme heat, desert terrain, uneven rock surfaces, elevation changes, wildlife, insects, dehydration risk, and limited cellular service

I understand that Moab’s natural desert environment presents unique physical challenges and potential hazards.

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, damages, or losses that may occur as a result of my participation.

2. Health & Medical Responsibility

I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in this retreat.

I understand that:

• Terranova Yoga is not a medical provider and does not diagnose or treat health conditions.

• It is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to participation.

• I must inform retreat leaders of any allergies, medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations.

• I am responsible for bringing and administering my own medications.

• I am solely responsible for monitoring my hydration, nutrition, and physical well-being during the retreat.

I accept full responsibility for my health and safety throughout the retreat.

3. Emergency Medical Authorization

In the event of illness or injury during the retreat, I authorize Terranova Yoga and its representatives to secure emergency medical treatment on my behalf if I am unable to do so.

I understand that:

• I am responsible for all medical costs incurred.

• Emergency services in remote desert areas may be delayed.

• Terranova Yoga is not responsible for medical expenses or emergency transportation costs.

4. Release of Liability

I release, waive, and discharge Terranova Yoga, its owners, teachers, employees, contractors, assistants, venue partners, and affiliated parties from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action arising out of:

• Personal injury

• Illness

• Property loss or theft

• Travel disruptions

• Accidents during activities or excursions

• Incidents occurring before, during, or after the retreat

This release applies whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. Travel Responsibility

I understand that:

• I am responsible for booking my own flights and transportation unless otherwise noted.

• Terranova Yoga is not responsible for travel delays, cancellations, missed flights, or additional travel costs.

• Third-party transportation providers operate independently from Terranova Yoga.

Travel insurance is strongly encouraged.

6. Personal Conduct

I agree to:

• Respect retreat property, staff, and fellow participants

• Follow all safety guidelines provided by retreat leaders

• Communicate concerns promptly and respectfully

Terranova Yoga reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

7. Photography & Media Release

I grant Terranova Yoga permission to use photographs or videos taken during the retreat for promotional or educational purposes.

If I do not wish to appear in media, I will notify Terranova Yoga in writing prior to the retreat.

8. Property Damage

I agree to be financially responsible for any damage I cause to retreat accommodations, facilities, or property, whether intentional or accidental.

9. Alcohol, Substances & Safety

I understand that:

• Responsible alcohol consumption may be permitted in designated settings.

• Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

• Participation in activities while under the influence may increase risk.

Terranova Yoga is not liable for injuries or incidents occurring under the influence of alcohol or substances.

10. Cancellation Policy Acknowledgment

I acknowledge that I have read and understand the Terranova Yoga Cancellation Policy outlined above.

I understand that:

• Deposits are non-refundable.

• Payments made 90 days or less before the retreat start date are non-refundable unless transferred to another participant of my choosing.

• Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

11. Agreement

By signing below, I confirm that:

• I have read and understand this document in full.

• I voluntarily agree to its terms.

• I assume all risks associated with participation.

• I release Terranova Yoga from liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This agreement applies specifically to the Moab Magic Retreat and all related activities.
