Terranova Yoga Costa Rica Retreat Policies

Payment & Cancellation

The Terranova Yoga Costa Rica Retreat is intentionally small and curated. Because space is limited and retreat expenses are planned in advance, payments for this retreat are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Terranova Yoga.

If you are unable to attend, your reservation may be transferred to another approved participant at the discretion of Terranova Yoga.

Participants are responsible for securing their own replacement. Terranova Yoga does not locate replacement participants.

All cancellations or transfer requests must be submitted in writing.

Retreat Changes or Cancellation

Terranova Yoga reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel retreat activities if necessary due to weather, safety concerns, travel conditions, provider availability, low enrollment, or other circumstances outside of Terranova Yoga’s control.

If the retreat is canceled by Terranova Yoga, participants may be offered a credit, transfer, or refund depending on the circumstances.

Terranova Yoga is not responsible for personal expenses related to retreat participation, including but not limited to flights, transportation, lodging outside of the retreat dates, meals outside of the retreat package, travel insurance, passport fees, medical expenses, or other personal costs.

Travel Responsibility

Participants are responsible for arranging their own flights and travel plans unless otherwise stated.

Terranova Yoga is not responsible for flight delays, cancellations, missed connections, lost luggage, additional transportation costs, passport issues, denied entry, or other travel-related issues.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the required travel documents, identification, passport, and any other travel requirements needed for entry into Costa Rica and return travel.

Transportation

Group shuttle transportation may be arranged or coordinated as part of the retreat experience. I understand that transportation may involve local roads, traffic, weather conditions, and other risks associated with travel.

I understand that Terranova Yoga is not responsible for delays, accidents, injuries, losses, or damages related to transportation providers or travel conditions.

Right to Refuse Participation

Terranova Yoga reserves the right to refuse or remove any participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate.

No refunds will be issued in such cases.

General Liability Waiver & Participant Agreement

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in the Terranova Yoga Costa Rica Retreat may include:

• Yoga and physical movement practices

• Breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness practices

• Sound baths and wellness experiences

• Indoor and outdoor activities

• Group meals and shared spaces

• Shuttle or ground transportation

• Optional excursions, tours, rentals, or third-party activities

• Use of equipment, props, or shared spaces

I acknowledge that these activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Physical injury

• Illness

• Emotional or mental stress

• Allergic reactions or food sensitivities

• Heat, humidity, sun exposure, dehydration, or fatigue

• Uneven terrain, stairs, slippery surfaces, or falls

• Insects, wildlife, ocean or beach conditions, and other environmental factors

• Travel delays, transportation risks, or unexpected changes in plans

• Property damage, loss, or theft

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, illnesses, damages, losses, or other issues that may occur as a result of my participation in the retreat and related activities.

2. Health & Medical Responsibility

I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in the retreat and any activities I choose to join.

I understand that:

• Terranova Yoga is not a medical provider

• I should consult a healthcare provider before attending if I have any medical concerns

• I am responsible for informing the instructor of any injuries, conditions, allergies, dietary needs, or limitations that may affect my participation

• I am responsible for my own medications, medical care, and personal well-being

• I am responsible for monitoring my own body and choosing whether to participate, modify, or opt out of any activity

I accept full responsibility for monitoring my own health and well-being throughout the retreat.

3. Emergency Medical Authorization

In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, I authorize Terranova Yoga and its representatives to seek emergency medical assistance on my behalf if deemed necessary.

I understand that medical services, emergency response times, transportation, and facilities may vary due to the retreat location and local conditions.

I understand that I am responsible for all medical expenses, transportation expenses, treatment costs, and related costs that may arise.

Terranova Yoga is not responsible for medical expenses or the outcome of any medical treatment.

4. Release of Liability

I release, waive, and discharge Terranova Yoga, its owners, instructors, employees, contractors, assistants, representatives, and affiliated parties from any and all claims arising from my participation in the Terranova Yoga Costa Rica Retreat and related activities.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Personal injury

• Illness

• Emotional distress

• Property damage or loss

• Travel delays or disruptions

• Accidents during activities

• Transportation-related incidents

• Incidents occurring before, during, or after the retreat

This release applies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. Optional Excursions & Third-Party Activities

I understand that optional excursions, activities, transportation, tours, rentals, or services may be offered or available during the retreat and may be operated by independent third-party providers.

I understand that Terranova Yoga does not own, operate, supervise, or control third-party providers and is not responsible for their actions, omissions, safety practices, equipment, transportation, or services.

If I choose to participate in any optional excursion or third-party activity, I do so voluntarily and at my own risk.

6. Personal Conduct

I agree to:

• Respect the space, instructors, retreat hosts, retreat property, and other participants

• Follow all safety instructions

• Communicate any concerns appropriately

• Participate in a way that supports a safe and respectful retreat environment

Terranova Yoga reserves the right to remove participants for unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior.

No refunds will be issued in such cases.

7. Photography & Media Release

I understand that photographs and/or video recordings may be taken during the Terranova Yoga Costa Rica Retreat and related activities.

I grant Terranova Yoga permission to use photographs, video recordings, and other media containing my likeness for promotional, educational, marketing, website, social media, and other business purposes without compensation.

I understand that Terranova Yoga may use this content in print or digital formats.

If I do not wish to be photographed or recorded, I agree to notify Terranova Yoga in writing prior to the retreat and understand that reasonable efforts will be made to honor my request.

8. Property Responsibility

I agree to be responsible for any damage I cause to property, equipment, accommodations, retreat spaces, shared spaces, or transportation.

I understand that I am responsible for my own personal belongings and that Terranova Yoga is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

9. Alcohol & Substance Awareness

I understand that:

• Some retreat settings may allow alcohol in designated or appropriate settings

• Illegal substances are prohibited

• Participation under the influence may increase risk

• Terranova Yoga reserves the right to restrict participation in activities if safety is a concern

• Terranova Yoga is not responsible for incidents related to alcohol or substance use

10. Acknowledgment of Policies

I acknowledge that I have read and understand all policies outlined above.

11. Agreement

By signing below, I confirm that:

• I have read and understand this document

• I voluntarily agree to its terms

• I assume all risks associated with participation

• I release Terranova Yoga from liability to the fullest extent permitted by law

This agreement applies to the Terranova Yoga Costa Rica Retreat and related retreat activities.
